Taxes done last week.

Hitting the jackpot, not really, but something from the Federal and state. Blood sucking leeches didn't get me to pay this year \:\)

Done and got the refund already and we're already starting to dig into it! It funded my NJ trip!

I finally got them to my accountant on Thursday. Due to my own accountant's advice, I only get about $300 back (which, in some ways, is good) and that just about covers his fees. \:\(

At least I have the $600 economic stimulus check to look forward to.

Yep. Complicated, frustrating, and inevitable -- just like death! \:\)

I got mine done a few weeks ago .... got them to the accountant ... and got the VERY BAD news back about ten days ago. What irritates me is that I work so DAMN HARD ... have to pay an additional $3,000 but the young kid in front of me at the grocery store is buying T-bone steaks with food stamps ... while I am getting a loaf of bread and peanut butter.

The taxes have been done for ten days ... but they didn't get mailed until yesterday ... not going to let the government have MY HARD EARNED MONEY any sooner than they should.

For Chris:

You Make Money
Government Wants Money
You Give Them Money
This is Taxes

I gave them my money today (by noon. Early for me)

Finished them up about 5:30 this AM by doing the e-file thing. Will be getting back a tidy little sum from the Federalees and about a third that much from Oregon.

Used Turbo Tax for the first time. Definitely easier and less expensive than a tax accountant!
