ive always been the thin skin type
i wear my feelings on my shoulder
this tends to make me vulnerable
and others so much bolder

am i the only one whos wrong
when i become a victim
from parents that are just so bad
and others whos hate flows throgh them

if i share the blame now
divide it equaly
if i apologize to you
would you do the same for me

ive never understood
thogh i always realy try
why hurt feelings are what
bring the tears when i cry

two words are what im beging for
for just one person to say
im sorry for what ive done to you
i wish your hurt feelings could go away

i like the rain cause no one knows im crying

a strong man is one who is able to control himself when he is angry
what is your definiton of control?

i lay awake another hour
just like the one before
the shadows play a game with my head
i can't take this anymore

This one hits me hard, and I think it's because I never ever thought of wanting an apology as a child. Not that it would have helped, but I don't know ... I just never thought of that. I guess I was just so sure it was all my fault.

Much love,

Nobody living can ever stop me
As I go walking my freedom highway.
Nobody living can make me turn back:
This land was made for you and me.
(Woody Guthrie)

you sound like you are way too nice of a person.
it bugs me that nice people get taken advantage of.

I want someone in my family to look me in the eye and say

"I'm sorry that happened to you."

The closest I ever got was at a family gathering for a funeral shortly after I revealed my csa.
My sister was leaving and was making the rounds ...
the kissy smoochy "was so nice to see you again" thing.
She is a warm and loving person ... but not prone to showing her emotions.
When she got to me she couldn't raise her head to look at me ...
then suddenly she threw herself on me and clung to me desperately saying ...

" I didn't know ... I didn't know ... I didn't know "

My older sister had never hugged me in her life.
I was 37 years old.

Apologizes ?

I'll take what I can get.

No one in my family will talk to me about it.
My perps were not from my family ... so I am left wondering ...

.... WHY ????

There are only 5 people I would like an apology from ...
Two are dead ...
and I doubt if the other three even remember me.

From what I get in your poem you are owed loads of appologies ...

You owe not a single person one.

I'm sorry that happened to you.
