About 8 years ago my sister got married in a bad relationship we used to be really close but her husband pretty well cut off all contact with her and the rest of the family. Anyways she left him and we are starting to get close again.

I think i have posted about this before but anyways I want to tell her i remember the abuse but every time i try i chicken out, i always make an excuse to my self of why i don't tell her. Well this week just me and her are going to dinner which I know it isnt the type of conversation to look forward to durring a meal but would it be acceptable to tell her about it then?

Chris, I would pick a quiet restaurant with a table in the corner and subdued lighting. Things could get emotional and it would be less distracting than bright lights, lots of noise and people frequently walking by. This way you could focus oh just you two and some sibling bonding could occur which would be really great for both of you. Best of luck and let us know how it goes. Be brave. Speak out. Silence hurts.

love ya

I agree. The silence hurts. She would want to know.

I told my sister this past year. She REALLY wished I had told her LONG ago...but I could not tell anyone before 2007.
