i really don't know how to start this but here it goes... from the ages of 3-10 i was sexually, physically, and, mentally abused by my mother and her various boy friends (she was cheating on my father). I started telling doctors and therapists when I was about 13. But i have never gotten any real treatment. its not that i didn't want to its because of other things... any way I reported what my mother (and later on my aunts ex-husband) had did to me to the police and the prosecutor. the prosecutor didn't want to even investigate what had happened to me! Now I'm 24 and just really really messed up from all this (ie flashbacks) I went to prison because my ex girlfriend said I raped her when in actuality we got into an argument because she told me that she had another boyfriend. So of course the courts see me as a sex offender who was offended that was acting out. which is crazy because why would I (or anyone for that matter that had been molested) force someone to do something that they didn't want done to themselves. I am just under so much lately and each day is harder than the next.

Welcome to the site. It is a sad thing that you had to endure what you did as a child. You will find many here can relate in whole or in part to what you have shared.

Hang in there Jonesy, you're in the right place. I understand waiting so long, I do, I'm 32 and just got here a couple weeks ago. For me, it was "other things..." that kept me from getting help. The father of my oldest neice was falsely accused as well. When he was 17, he was dating a 14 year old girl, Her parents didn't like him, and when they broke up, they convinced her to go along with them on accusing him of rape. He was a minor, so didn't have to do jail time, be even now that he's in his mid twenties, he has to register as a sex offender or face the prospect of jail time.

You will definitely find many people here who understand your feelings and the things you're dealing with. I was afraid that certain issues I have were mine alone, but I found that they weren't. I found that others had been helped and are healing, you can get that too. Have hope.

Welcoe jonesy, I am soo sorry that you had to endure that. You can overcome bad stuff like that and be stronger. It takes time and will probably hurt going through the memories and stuff but you will make it. Many here will understand. I believe you too you are not alone.
