Today, one week after the accident, I finally got further outside than just our yard, and rode in a car for the first time (tho I did back it into another spot yesterday so our grass could get mowed).
My youngest daughter drove me to my family doctor (a rheumatologist) in a nearby town; same one I was on my way to, for water aerobics class, when I had the wreck.
He recommended physical therapy, probably about 3x a week. I will start next Monday.
Meanwhile this Thursday, tomorrow, I am going to see my T, my massage T, and my chiro. My youngest daughter & a friend are taking me there, about an hours drive.
Hopefully the insurance will settle soon & I'll be
able to have a car to drive myself--not that this is going to be easy.
Hopefully I'll be able to start back into at least
attending water aerobics classes soon. Getting out
a bit. Having some semblance of a real life!
That's not going to be easy either especially with
the new abuse memories that have come rushing back
as a result of the accident. Along with other relatively new stuff I was dealing with, there's a lot on the plate right now.
But I'll get by with a little help from my friends...
