My sons ARE my inspiration, an extension of my soul.
As they grow into adulthood, they're what make my broke heart whole.
The perceptions that they have, are not clouded by the winds.
Those winds that bring destruction, from other people's sins.

They are free to smell and breathe, all the Goodness in the air.
To enjoy the birds and mountains, without cause for self despair.
And the beauty that they have, with their smiles upon their face.
Makes my heart abound in joyfulness, that they grew and they were safe.

So to you who made your way with me, made me but your playful toy.
say to you I broke the cycle, of abuse you did employ.
It's a shame u didn't know me, like my sons that I do love.
You'd of known me soft and tender, full of GOD's love from above.

You'd have seen and may have helped, as I tryed out for some sport.
Or seen me in the band and sing, and hiked along Gods court.
You'd have seen me fail and tumble, and with pride u might applaud,
as i rose n strived to do things, winning some of lifes reward.

NO, you missed all of those times, that I shared without you there.
Instead pain and lustful moments, are all now that we can share.
You'd have known a little boy, who'd of grown and loved you so.
Who would pass down to his loving sons, someone proud for them to know.

So it's others now that took your place, and taught me how to be,
full of passion, love, and tenderness, all of this MY sons to see.
As I pass to them the goodness found, and it flourishes within,
It's ashame you missed those times with me, that I NEVER missed with them!

There's a poem to show someone who's worried he will become like the abuser. You should be so proud you could show to your sons what you were never shown yourself.

Much love,

Nobody living can ever stop me
As I go walking my freedom highway.
Nobody living can make me turn back:
This land was made for you and me.
