the sadness live
it has rights too
and lives to discover

the sadness explore
Who knows what tunnels it will find
what is entombed in its catacombs

the sadness run
along dismal alleys
and abandoned tracks

the sadness stay
set it a table
for its inviting is for you

I just sighed when I read this. You're right, of course; in a way my thought goes back to something I said to you in another comment about our need to acknowledge and own our feelings. I so appreciate the way you are using poetry to work through some of these feelings in your own recovery and sharing them with the rest of us here.

Much love,

Nobody living can ever stop me
As I go walking my freedom highway.
Nobody living can make me turn back:
This land was made for you and me.
(Woody Guthrie)
