Hey All,

I'm back from the Hospital....the lock-down unit of the Hospital....the ask permission to use the bathroom lock-down unit of the Hospital....and have a "friend" join you in the bathroom unit of the Hospital....The SAVE YOUR FREAKING LIFE unit of the Hospital....cuz that's what they did!

It was very hard for Mr. Independance, Mr Control-freak to be in such total lock-down control, but I ever changed!!!

The classes and groups were amazing! I was in group or class about 6 hours per day!

For my protection, because my flashbacks were bad, a nurse or muscle-bound counselor was by my side every moment of sleep (as I slept at the nurses station a few nights).

I was never in danger of ever being able to hurt myself. I was as safe as safe can be!!!

The staff was amazing!!! They even met Christopher one night and handled him very well.

Anyway. All I can say is that if anyone reaches that certain crisis-point in their recovery, please do as I did and fire that flare-gun. Call 911 or go to an emergency room. This was the best thing for me!

More to come after I rest and get used to being at home again.

Welcome back, Rob!!!

I'm glad to see you're home safe and sound. It's a good thing you went. I know my stint in the hospital in 2004 ended up being a great blessing. I'm sure yours will be as well.

Love ya, bro!

so glad that it was happa good expirience.

I have been sppeak to Bryan and with out his encouragement and your exalpe I don't think that I would have been able to go--its ahopital in texas where their spciacty is trauma. It differs from a regular hospital in that it is not only for sblization porpouses, but also stuff like people that deviat from life and need get get back to a place saftey on their own so that they can go back to work/ school or whaterver. actually the porpose plobly is simliar they just do it difertly. Rob, if you want to knoiw mure about it, bryan as I told him it would be alright to tell you.

But, i'm sooooo glad to here that you are feeling better; this instill more courage about checking myself into the hospital----you should have heard my ambivalivance to go, I was a wreck. I was petrified that all they wuld do was hurt me and put me in 4 point restaints or chemical restainst and watch me drool.
I'm soooo sooooo glad that you found it to be haven instead.

you should have heard what my mind conjured up that it would be like. Some say that "an idole mind is a dangerous thing." My mind in proportion to that is a WMD(weapon of myself destruction).

oh well. Thanx for letting us know how it when and how yo are.

Logan, (and open to anyone else)

PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT hesitate to go to such a program/facility if you are in need of fast and safe help. I was looking to end it all two Tuesdays ago. After Lorie and Painforever talked me down off the figurative ledge, I realized that there may not be another chance to do something about this.

Checking myself into that facility was only 10% scary and 90% feeling of safety and relief.

I've heard, universally, that these programs are as you describe Logan; Stabilizing and supporting. My program was just that, but it was also life-saving.

Sure, being locked-into the unit was tough, as were many aspects of keeping me safe. But that's what it kept me safe.

So again guys, please don't hesitate to fire that flare-gun when the going get's too tough. I'm more than happy and willing to discuss ANY of this in PM-land with anyone here.

I have to put in my two cents as well...

Going into the hospital was the best thing I could have done for my life. Yes it is scarey but no one is going to hurt you there...and they only want what is best for you.

Don't hesitate to get the help you need!
