Perhaps someone can help me out with this one.
Long ago, one of my T's told me about an acronym that I could use to remind myself not to do certain things that lead to or aggravate my depression or anxiety. I don't remember all of it, and so I don't remember the acronym. Here is what I do remember;
Never let yourself get too-
... and I don't remember the rest. The acronym was something like "HEART" or "HELP" or "HASTE"... I do remember the Hungry and Angry parts for sure, because I never thought that being hungry would be a trigger, but that anger made sense.
Does anyone else remember this tool? I'd sure like to put it back in my 'toolkit' of coping mechanisms.
