Utah distance is near perfect for me.

Denver would be better... heh ... or Estes Park -

Ah well - this is what dreams are made of.

Estes Park.... A very beautiful town. I'd have liked to have spent more time in and about it when I was there a couple weeks back.

You never know, Mark. Find the perfect retreat center at the perfect price for the Recovery Weekend and you may get your wish!

when you wish upon a star ...
i suppose it's always worth wishing ... even when you're way outside the realm of reality.

I agree we need one in the Midwest... maybe something like Minneapolis, perfect for our Canadian friends to easily attend too. smile

Hi Lars,

I couldn't agree with you more that every corner of the country needs to have weekends of recovery. Unfortunately, the needs to consider in order to make one of these happen can be mindboggling. Seven years ago when we started the WORs, we looked far and wide for places to hold them that could meet our needs. It took the better part of 5 years to come up with the four places we've found. It would take coming up with a place better than the four we already have to get the team to consider some place different. How I wish it wasn't this difficult!

Dale

Dale really makes a good point when he refers to the difficulty of finding a really good place for survivors to meet. I have had the same experience in setting up a one-day workshop for Mike Lew here in the UK in January 2009. There are so many factors to consider, and I couldn't believe how many places I rejected because I decided they just wouldn't feel safe and welcoming. The venue I finally opted for is perfect, but man, it sure did take some time to find it.

Much love,
Larry
