hello men:

just wanted to post where i am at. we had a tough day. you see we are turning the big 4 0 in ten days and we are really struggling with it. we tell ourselves that it is only a number like any other. but, there is a certain sadness that is coming along with it.

we know that gratitude is the only proper feeling to have. we are very fortunate to still be alive. to have survived and be here to continue experiencing life as fully as we can.

yes, this is the only attitude to have and we will do our very best to hold onto it during the next ten days and beyond. thanks so much Lord for your wisdom and blessings. we hope this finds all of you well. let's all not be too hard on ourselves and make the most of this short blessing called life. peace and love.

Happy Birthday

I know how you feel. I have a birthday coming up in December. I will be 46. I have a hard time facing that I will be "That OLD" When I was younger.... before the S A I had dreams that of where my life would be. I don't know if things would have been different without the
S A but I can't help but think how it had affected my life.

Hope your birthday is a happy one.

From "Lion King" "The Circle of Life" with Lyrics

Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba [Here comes a lion, Father]
Sithi uhm ingonyama [Oh yes, it's a lion] (Repeat)

Siyo Nqoba [We're going to conquer]
Ingonyama nengw' enamabala [As lion and a leopard come to this open place]

Hi bec,

Well, I remember 40--sooooo long ago. I liked 40 because I felt I had a really good chance of living at least as long as I had lived to that point.

The big 50 was a minor bummer--I know I won't live to be 100, so life was more than half over.

When I had the even bigger 60 it was kind of neat because I could get senior discounts everywhere!

Now, I am not too many years from the really big 70--people tell me when I reach that mark they will start to consider me a "wise elder."

Just enjoy bec! You have so much more living to do, and you can hope that it will be even better than it has been up to now. If any one has black balloons on your birthday take a pin and break them all. The best is yet to come, but not for quite a while will you get the senior discounts, that should be a joy to you--you have years to go before that.

Peace to you and much joy and fun on your birthday and every day.

If we do not live what we believe, then we will begin to believe what we live.

You have a good birthday Bec. I know it's a tough haul, but we still have lots of life to live. I just turned 47 a few months back and it's the been the best 2 months of my life.

Remember, you never have a bad day. Everyday is a good day and some are just better than others.

Keeping a good thought,
