Can you feel the pain I feel?
Can you reassure me it will heal?
Can you feel the anger and the pain?
Do you also feel like crying in the rain?
Will this hurtfull phase ever pass?
will i ever be happy lying on the grass?

The hurt feels as if its consuming me.
I feel I will never ever be free.
The fire is raging deep inside my soul.
Consuming every ounce of patience and control.
Do you feel the pain inside of me?
Can you help me in being set free?

Why was i the lucky one to receive this gift he gave
to become the pain and hurt's eternal slave.
The storm is raging deep within
How i wish i could believe i will win
the war and not only a battle or two.
I would love to laugh again and do the things to do.
Not always feeling depressed and down.
With a smile on my face and without the frown.

Would you walk beside me and hold my hand?
Be a pillar when alone I cant stand.
Carry me to see the light again.
Share with me the joy and pain.
Would you do that for me
and share in the release when I am free.
Tell me now as i need to be sure.
will you assist me to endure?

Not Perfect, just forgiven

Pietie, we're all here for you. Where you are on your journey and the pain that you feel is something that none of us ever forget, and something that will always stay with us. But it does get better, it really does. Whatever you do, never feel guilty for expressing your pain. We know how it feels, and when we read what you write, we feel it with you. We can't take up the burden you have been given, but we certainly can walk beside you and hold your hand and share your joy and pain. Most of all, we can understand.....and love you. We love you, Pietie, because we know that love is what ultimately heals. You are inherently good and deserve everything good that life has to offer. Take my hand, Pietie, and if not mine, the hand of another, offered with compassion here. There's a long road ahead, but you don't have to walk it alone. Bobby

I'm healing now, and I wasn't sure I would.

Pietie, your poem is beautiful and full of hope. Your words touched my heart. We're all holding your hand right now.

the last few days i have so been thinking about holding another's

hand - i know how this can feel - this kind of loneliness

sometimes we are in touch with our strength and sometimes we are not

and as john22 said to me so wisely - he said we cannot feel strong all the time - probably the way we would all like to -

but he said - we can sort of build into our lives - a space
or things - that can be there for us - when we are not strong

on a relationships level -

wonderful moments....

with a friend in a zen bhuddist monastary - my arms came from behind him as he stared out the rice screen into the rain falling on the garden -
i didn't think i wouild do this -
and he was just a friend -
but i just offered my hands in front of him from behind him
as if they were his arms -

and it was funny -

we all fight for our lives - i LOVE fighting for my life -

but alternative moments too - like this

with a safe one -

are pretty nice and memorable -

a good post -

" not look outside yourself for the leader."
-wisdom of the hopi elders

"...the sign of a true leader is service..." - anonymous

Beautiful, pietie.

Money talks, but all it tells me is goodbye.

If I could meet myself as a boy...
