i dont think that is quite right. High speed photography of the eyes while reading, has proven that no matter how fast we read, we read through the word. When letters are mixed up, the eyes do not read thru the word but stop and start. the brain does tend to fill in and correct but reading is definately hampered and, most importantly, the "rhythm" of reading and language is interrupted and we do not get meaning as readily.

Life is pain. You just get used to it.

yeah, it worked for me - and is this how dyslexics 'see' words I wonder ?

I'm dyscalculic - dyslexic by numbers ;\) - and this theory doesn't work with numbers, I see them like that all the damn time !
